Famous Psychiatrists

Carl Gustav Jung

The founder of analytical psychology, Jung was a Swiss citizen who lived from 1875 to 1961. He believed that an interest in spirtituality as well as science and logic was not unhealthy. His theories on types and archetypes ( such as the Self, the Shadow, the Anima and Animus, typified in literature by the Hero, Great Mother, Wise Old Man) were embraced by Myers and Briggs as well as establishing much of the source material for Hollywood. Also regarding archetypes see William Marston Moulton and Wonderwoman
